Jesus said, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (Jn 4:24). 

Join us this fall as we explore the biblical foundations of Christian worship in our Pastor's Bible Study / Lay Academy.

Worship is at the very heart of Christian discipleship, and true worship is rooted in God's Word. But, why do we sing? Why do we confess our sins? Why do we declare our faith? Why do we proclaim the gospel? Why do we celebrate the sacraments? Why does any of this matter?

Through an in-depth study of the Psalms and other foundational biblical passages, we will discover how Scripture shapes our worship, deepening our understanding of both how we worship and why we do the things we do each week.

• Wednesday Evenings: Beginning September 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday Mornings: Beginning September 10, 2026, at 9:30 AM, Break Out Small Groups st 10:30 AM.  
  Please contact Lellen Lane if you would like to be placed in a small group for more in-depth study, connection, and prayer time.

Whether you are new to studying Scripture or have been attending Bible studies for years, this study will enrich your appreciation for Christian worship and strengthen your walk as a disciple of Christ.
