The Apostles' Creed
Discover the heart of the Christian faith through Pastor’s Bible Study & Lay Academy at First Presbyterian Church. This study invites participants to slow down and engage deeply with The Apostles’ Creed—the ancient confession of faith that has united Christians across centuries and traditions.
Led by Dr. Jonathan King, the Fellows Program Director for the Zbinden Center, this series explores not only what Christians believe, but why it matters. Though the Creed is familiar, each line opens rich theological, biblical, and practical insight, shaping how faith is lived and practiced in the world today. Whether you are new to the Creed or have recited it for years, this study offers space for thoughtful reflection, learning, and conversation.
Schedule & Format
Wednesdays at 6:30 PM (Lay Academy)
Thursdays at 9:30 AM (Pastor’s Bible Study), followed by Small Groups

This Spring 2026 semester features two mini-series:
The Apostles’ Creed with Dr. Jonathan King (January–February), followed by the Lenten series Five Days that Changed the World with Rev. Bob Fuller.
