The Stewardship of Treasure

2 Corinthians 8:1-15

  • Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller
  • November 16, 2025

Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller reminded the church that stewardship is not only about money but about offering every part of our lives to God. He explained that money matters to God because it often holds power over our hearts, and giving helps us release that control and trust the Lord more deeply. Using the example of the Macedonian believers, he showed how true generosity begins when we give ourselves first to the Lord. Dr. Fuller taught that God multiplies our gifts, just like an amplifier makes a small sound reach far beyond what it could on its own. He emphasized that giving to the church matters because the mission of the church is unique and eternal. The greatest model of stewardship, he said, is Jesus, who gave up His riches in heaven to make us rich in grace. Dr. Fuller closed by urging the church to give with joy and eagerness, trusting that God always cares for His people and provides exactly what is needed.
