The Stewardship of Talents
Exodus 35:30-36:2
- Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller
- November 9, 2025
Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller’s sermon reminds us that stewardship is more than money—it is using all that God has given us for His purposes. Drawing from Exodus 35, he tells the story of Bezalel and Oholiab, two craftsmen whom God called by name and filled with His Spirit to build the tabernacle. Their example shows that every skill, talent, and creative gift comes from God and is meant to glorify Him. Dr. Fuller encourages believers to recognize their own God-given talents—whether leadership, creativity, experience, or opportunity—and to use them faithfully for His kingdom. He warns against burying our gifts out of fear or self-doubt, as in Jesus’ parable of the talents, reminding us that even small acts of service can have eternal value. When we use our gifts for God’s glory rather than our own, others can see His presence made visible in the world. Each of us is uniquely called and equipped by God to play a part in His great work.
