Shared Grace: Fellowship in the Shadow of the Cross - Modern
- Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller
- March 8, 2026
Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller reflects on Acts 2:42–47 to describe the church as a “flock” or community shaped by the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The early believers gathered around the apostles’ teaching, but their faith went beyond knowledge—it became personal gratitude for what Christ had done for them on the cross. That gratitude overflowed into generosity, leading them to share their possessions, resources, and lives so that no one in the community was left in need. This sharing was not forced or political, but a joyful response to the grace they had received from Christ. The sermon challenges believers not to treat these verses as mere symbolism, but as a real call to care for one another in practical ways. A true Christian community bears one another’s burdens, shares blessings, and lives as a family shaped by Christ’s sacrificial love. When the church lives this way, the world can see a living picture of the love of Jesus.
