Serve One Another
- Whit Anderson
- January 11, 2026
Whit Anderson preached on Jesus washing the disciples’ feet in John 13, showing that love is the foundation of the church and service is how that love is lived out. Jesus, fully aware of His identity, His mission, and even His betrayer, chose the lowest position and served His disciples with humility and grace. By taking up the towel, Jesus showed that true greatness in God’s kingdom is found not in status, but in loving service. This act pointed beyond clean feet to the deeper cleansing of the heart that only Christ can give. Jesus then called His followers to do as He has done—to love, forgive, and serve others sacrificially. The sermon challenged believers to lay aside pride, receive Christ’s grace, and take up the towel in everyday acts of humble service. In serving others, we reflect the radical love of Jesus and point the world to the transforming power of His grace.
