Revelation Requires Responsibility
Psalms 19:1-10
- Rev. Dr. Paul Kacsur
- October 26, 2025
Rev. Dr. Paul Kacsur began by reminding the congregation that discipleship often happens in the ordinary moments of life, where God uses even simple experiences to shape us. Turning to Psalm 19, he taught that God reveals Himself in two ways—through creation and through His Word. The beauty of the heavens, the order of the earth, and the power of nature are all signs of God’s glory, showing His presence and creativity. Yet, while nature declares that God exists, it cannot tell us who He truly is. For that, we need Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ, God’s special revelation. Through His Word, God shows His heart, His truth, and His plan of salvation—things we could never discover through the natural world alone. He explained that creation teaches humility, gratitude, and wonder, while Scripture brings clarity, direction, and eternal hope. He encouraged believers to let both the world and the Word draw them closer to God, seeing everyday experiences as opportunities to glorify Him and grow as His disciples.
