Honest Doubt—Honest Faith

The Gospel According to John John 20:24-29

  • Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller
  • April 19, 2026

Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller’s sermon focuses on the story of Thomas, often called “Doubting Thomas,” to show how doubt can lead to stronger faith. He explains that doubt is not something to hide, but something we should admit and face honestly. Thomas did not believe right away because he wanted real proof, and Jesus met him in that moment and showed him the truth. The sermon gives three steps: admit your doubts, search for answers in Jesus and the Bible, and be willing to accept the truth when you find it. It also reminds us that we are not meant to face doubt alone, but with the help of other believers. In the end, Thomas moved from doubt to faith and said, “My Lord and my God.” The message encourages each of us to make that same personal choice to trust in Jesus.
