Extraordinary Night - 7:30 & 10:00 PM Candlelight and Carols Service

  • Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller
  • December 24, 2025

Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller reflects on the story of the Magi to proclaim that Christmas is God’s great announcement: “Behold, I am doing a new thing.” He reminds us that when God sent His Son, it was not a recycled solution, but the miracle of the incarnation—God becoming flesh and dwelling among us as Emmanuel, God with us. This new thing was necessary because humanity was lost in deep darkness, unable to heal itself through effort, control, or the familiar “former things.” Yet when Christ was born, most of the world failed to notice, distracted by noise, routine, and fear of change. The sermon invites us to consider whether God is still doing a new thing in our lives today, even when we struggle to perceive it. Though God’s truth never changes, we do, and Christmas calls us to wake up, behold Christ, and trust that as we behold Him, He is holding us.
