Everyday Worship
Romans 12:1-2
- Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller
- September 14, 2025
Rev. Dr. Bob Fuller’s sermon begins by addressing the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, calling it a tragedy that should never have happened. He urges listeners not to respond to anger or violence with more division but to keep talking, listening, and praying for one another. He reminds the congregation that Christians are called to bring light into dark times through the truth and love of Jesus. The sermon then turns to Romans 12:1–2, where Paul urges believers to offer their lives as living sacrifices and be transformed by renewing their minds. Fuller explains that worship is not just for Sundays or religious settings, but something we live out every day — in ordinary routines like working, cooking, resting, or even making the bed. He stresses that God uses small, ordinary moments to shape us and that our daily habits either train us to worship God or lesser things. Fuller encourages listeners to bless God in the little things and see every task as an opportunity to glorify Him. True discipleship, he says, is about living “Coram Deo” — before the face of God — all the time, not compartmentalizing faith to church hours. He ends by inviting people to turn their daily lives into acts of worship, present themselves as living sacrifices, and let God’s light shine through them to transform the world.
