Feed My Sheep: Care for One Another

  • Rev. Larry Coulter
  • February 22, 2026

In this sermon on John 21, Rev. Larry Coulter reflects on Jesus restoring Peter after his three denials. Around a charcoal fire—just like the one where Peter failed—Jesus asks him three times, “Do you love me?” In this tender moment, we see that grace does not erase our past but redeems it. Jesus does not shame Peter or demand explanations; instead, He turns each confession of love into a calling: “Feed my sheep.” The sermon reminds us that our worst failures can become the place of our deepest ministry, because forgiven people become gentle shepherds. We are invited to bring our failures into the light of Christ’s grace, to let our love for Him take shape in caring for others, and to stop comparing ourselves to others and simply follow Him. Through the cross and resurrection, Jesus restores us and sends us out to love one another as redeemed people.
