KEYS - Kathy Beer
Join us as we welcome Kathy Beer, a long-time worker in the field of hospice care. Before moving back to San Antonio to be closer to medical care for her husband, she lived in Pipe Creek and was an elder at the Pipe Creek Presbyterian Church. She is now a covenant partner at FPC.
Kathy learned of hospice care when she was a marketing rep for Purdue Frederick. After 20 years, she went to work for VistaCare Hospice for 5 years, leaving to pursue an opportunity with Christus Home Health and Hospice. Twelve years later, she retired to become the caregiver for her husband, Tommy, who received hospice care for the last two years of his life.
Kathy was asked to join the board of Friends of Hospice, and completed a two-year role as president from 2023-25.
